Getting started is free, and you do not need a credit card.
Sign up
- Head over to bienvue.app and choose to create an account.
- Select Continue with Google or Continue with Apple. You can also enter your Full name, Email address, and a Password of at least eight characters, then select Create account.
- Bienvue will email you a quick link. Open that email and click the link to confirm your address.
Setting up a TV right now? You can actually create your account directly from the screen by scanning the QR code on the TV. See Pair a TV to walk through those steps.
Verify your email within three days
You can jump into the dashboard and start building your guide right away. Just remember to open your verification link within three days. If you wait longer, the dashboard will pause and ask you to verify before you can keep working. Even if the dashboard pauses, your active TVs and guest phone guides will stay online and keep working. If you cannot find the verification message, the dashboard screen lets you update your email address or send a fresh link.
Set up your organization and first property
Right after you sign up, the Getting started screen asks for two basic pieces of information:
- Organization name. Think of your organization as the umbrella that holds all your properties, TV screens, and team members. It starts with your personal name, but you can change it to your company or brand name whenever you want.
- Tell us about the place. Enter a Property name, which is the title guests see on screen, and pick the type of property:
- Whole home or cabin: guests have the entire property to themselves.
- Apartment or condo: a private unit inside a shared building.
- B&B or guesthouse: private rooms in a property you host, often including breakfast.
- Hotel or inn: multiple rooms with a front desk and shared guest amenities.
Picking the right type helps Bienvue suggest helpful cards for your guide. Once you make your choice, you land on the Content page, ready to build out your guide. See Add and edit cards.
If it doesn't work
- "An account could not be created with those details": an account might already exist under that email address. Try signing in, or use the password reset link. If you are starting fresh, check that your password has at least eight characters.
- "That password has shown up in a known data breach": Bienvue checks new passwords against security breach lists from around the web to keep your account safe. Pick a different password. Your name and email address will stay filled in so you do not have to retype them.
- Google or Apple sign-up didn't work: try clicking the button again, or type in your name, email, and a password instead.
